How

Answer
In writing, with reasons for any refusal

How to ask

Write to the Department you think holds the information, and say as clearly as you can what you are looking for. You do not need to explain why you want it. If you are not sure which Department to write to, contact City Hall and we will pass your request on.

What happens next

City Hall will reply in writing. If some or all of the information cannot be released, the reply will say why.

If you disagree with the answer

You can ask for the decision to be reviewed. Write to City Hall, mark the letter "Review", and give the date of the original reply.

Information that is already public

Many records are published without a request. Decisions of the Union Government are published as numbered notices in the Newsroom, and transcripts of press briefings are published alongside them.

Portsmere

PortsMere City Hall handles requests for information about tax, education and transport in the Affiliated City of Portsmere. Requests about other matters go to Grand Peninsula City Hall.
